ABOUT US

We are three women who believe in the power and importance of dying with beauty, held in love, respect and care.

We have experience nurturing and caring for those who are dying, as well as supporting their loved ones through this very challenging and special time.

We will all re-enter the Great Mystery at some point. This does not have to be an experience to fear. It can be a profound opportunity to soften, forgive, reflect and heal. And it can be a time of deep feeling, tenderness and love.

We work with the greatest respect, confidentiality and gentleness.

Reach out at any point in your journey and we will come to you.

WHO WE ARE

FD

Faith Downey

Dying is one of the most sacred thresholds we must cross.

Caring for my father as he left his body opened my eyes to how profoundly beautiful our endings can be.

Since then it has been a privilege to walk beside and care for people, body and soul, as they move through the dying process and return to love.

I am shamanically trained, a writer of poetry and a lover of animals, plants and ocean.

I hold space for open and courageous conversations around dying and death. This is to assist you in exploration and to gain insight into what dying and death mean for you.

I have 25 years of interest, study and experience with grief, dying and death.

Taking the opportunity to talk and share without judgment can provide greater ease when alongside others in their dying process and when facing your own death.

Dying can be an extraordinarily challenging time, however it is also an opportunity for insight, healing and beauty.

I like to draw on the past and look to how historically family and community cared for the dying, the dead and the bereaved.

Being part of Sacred allows me to support people with their grieving and healing process by empowering more involved and personal choices around how we honour our own deaths and those of the people we love.
